Sammy the loud ankle biter

My dog Sammy is very loud he yips and barks and bites at everyone who comes to the door, he go's 100% crazy and will even grab at pant legs and shoes jumps up to bite you name it, he is out of control, I'm at the end of my rope or I guess leash with him. He is really loving with me and my 2 year old daughter very over protective too, and he loves us so much that when we leave even for a minute or two ,when we come back he is sounding like dieing duck in a thunderstorm as my mother would put it! he completely freaks out , you would think I have been gone for years the way he get's all excited people think I'm beating him sometimes and come to see what all the noise is ( really embarrassing ) I would never injure him, I just wish he felt the same way about my ears . He wakes up everyone in the house at night when I come in and their is no way to make him stop I have tried, but he just keeps going and gets louder and louder the more you console him.
He is Canada's Naughtiest dog I know this because , well just ask my poor neighbors and my ear drums !!!
