Marley is a wonderful dog. He's sweet, loving, we call him 'Snuggleupagainst' (a play on the character from Sesame Street, Snufflupagus). He's my momma's boy and my constant shadow.
He inhales everything in sight, which really isn't that big of a problem since it's just taught us to pick up after ourselves a little better. He's eaten one ENTIRE phone book, part of a couch, the zippers and buttons from 7 pairs of jeans, countless socks and underwear, a wine glass, and a 12 inch pewter rocking horse (we had a lovely x-ray from that one).
Our biggest problem with Marley is something that is really our own fault. It's a lack of socialization as a puppy. Now he is a full grown pit bull with fear issues, and when he's afraid he barks and growls. I love this breed, work with rescues, foster other pit bulls and I'm embarrassed that my own dog isn't a shining example for the breed I love.
He jumps on people, barks, growls, cowers, even my own family can't come to visit unless he is put away in a different room.
I need help to bring Marley out into the light and have him shine in public like the dog he is when it's just me and him.

He looks very proud of himself of the chew job he just did in the picture. :)
